Experiments I through IV studied the ore. Experiment V is the first to study the listener. Having established that the signal produces compulsive replay behaviour in exposed subjects, the Division moved to Phase One: engineer commercial-grade audio with refined isotope frequencies as the carrier, and distribute it through existing public channels.
Test subjects are not informed of their participation. This is considered standard practice at M.O.N.O Industries. The researchers ran the first exposure trials on themselves, in accordance with no protocol in particular. Their notes describe increased creativity, disrupted sleep, and an inability to explain why they keep listening.
The file remains restricted. The song does not. If you can hear it, exposure has already occurred.

Production
OSCILLATE! is the Division's most electronic output to date. A Moog synthesizer carries the central signal, documented live on the laboratory's CRT waveform monitor at the moment the cover photograph was taken. The wave on the screen is the wave in the song.
Around the carrier, the arrangement pulls toward industrial weight and math rock structure: rhythms that loop until they don't, sections that shift under the listener mid-phrase. The design goal, per the Phase One brief, was a signal that rewards repeat exposure. Repeat exposure was observed.
