Experiment III was an attempt to digitize the ore's emissions: capture the signal in a stable format that could be reproduced without proximity to the physical sample. The hypothesis: if the frequency could be encoded, it could be distributed indefinitely.
The experiment produced a track. The file was subsequently not found in Division records. What remains on public channels is considered an artefact of the process rather than the intended output. The lead researcher's notes from this period contain one recurring line: "How lost could I have been?... The answers lied right before me."
Experiment IV was initiated shortly after.

Production
VORTEX! is where the Division's sonic palette opens up. Where earlier experiments relied on acoustic instruments in the lab, Experiment III introduces a Moog synthesizer as a primary voice alongside the saxophone, weaving together in a call-and-response between organic and electronic signal throughout.
The rhythm section shifted to a Latin framework: cajón, Latin percussion, and an acoustic kit give the track a dance-oriented, repetitive groove unlike anything in Experiments I and II. The structure is intentionally hypnotic, a loop that tightens rather than resolves.
Original voiceover samples recorded by the research team appear as documentary fragments throughout. Ring modulation, white noise effects, and radio FX are layered into the arrangement, creating the sonic texture of a transmission breaking apart.
The Ibanez bass ran through Darkglass distortion and Neural DSP Parallax in parallel, maintaining the Division's characteristic low-end weight even in a more electronic context.
VORTEX! is Experiment III by EMMO ENNO, released February 21, 2026. It is a fully instrumental dance-oriented Labcore track featuring Moog synthesizer, Latin percussion, alto saxophone, cajón, and original voiceover samples. In-universe, the experiment involved digitization and collapse. The file was subsequently not found.
VORTEX! features a Moog synthesizer as a primary melodic voice, weaving with the alto saxophone in a call-and-response arrangement throughout the track.
