The Refinement

Experiment I established the ore existed and that it could produce signal. Experiment II asked a different question: could the signal be synthesized, refined from raw emission into a stable, reproducible compound? The answer, delivered in under three minutes, was yes.

PLUTONIUM! is the Division's first industrialized product. Trace emissions from the ore were processed, concentrated, and pressed into a format suitable for home consumption. Distribution began before the source was fully understood. This was considered acceptable.

The Division notes that the track set the foundational tone for all subsequent EMMO ENNO experiments. Everything that follows begins here.

Production

PLUTONIUM! is a cleaner record than Experiment I. The mix is tighter, the arrangement more focused. The track is built more like a beat than a conventional song: compressed, high yield, engineered for maximum effect in minimum time.

The central melodic hook uses the double harmonic major scale, an interval pattern with two augmented second intervals that creates an exotic, tension-laden sound. Listeners frequently describe the melody as having a klezmer quality, though the context is high-energy funk and experimental rock.

The effects chain runs throughout: ring modulators, phasers, flangers, and stereo delays applied across bass and saxophone, along with radio FX that add texture and suggest frequency transmission. Acoustic drums and percussion hold a driving, physical rhythm section beneath the processed lead instruments.

PLUTONIUM! is Experiment II by EMMO ENNO, released December 13, 2025. It is a short, high-energy instrumental Labcore single featuring Ibanez bass, acoustic drums, alto saxophone, and a heavy effects chain including ring modulators, phasers, flangers, and stereo delays. The melody uses the double harmonic major scale.
PLUTONIUM! uses the double harmonic major scale, an exotic scale with two augmented second intervals that gives the melody a distinctive, tension-filled quality. Many listeners describe this as a klezmer-like sound. EMMO ENNO applies it in a high-energy funk and experimental rock context.
The double harmonic major scale contains interval relationships common to Eastern European and Middle Eastern music traditions, including klezmer. EMMO ENNO applies it in a high-energy funk context. The combination is intentionally strange.
PLUTONIUM! features ring modulators, phasers, flangers, stereo delays, and radio effects. These are applied across bass and saxophone, giving the track its experimental, processed texture.
Yes. PLUTONIUM! is fully instrumental with no lead vocals.
